Established in 1741 and now in its 9th generation, Lyman Orchards is recognized as the twelfth oldest family owned business still in operation. Shop in the Apple Barrel market for fresh farm produce and award-winning Hi-Top Apple Pies; enjoy picking fresh fruits in season, and golf on our two 18-hole championship courses, designed by Robert Trent Jones, Sr., and Gary Player; or learn the game of golf or improve your stroke at our new Golf Center and Apple Nine course.

Our unique market has become known throughout Connecticut and beyond as a favorite destination for family fun and great food! The enticing aroma of fresh baked products fills our market all day long. Every day, all day long, fresh pies, apple cider donuts, muffins, cookies, breads, pastries, and more desserts are made in our Farm Kitchen Bakery.

You can pick nearly 100 varieties of fruits from June through October!

It’s simple to pick your own at Lyman Orchards. Before coming to pick, always call our 24-hour hotline for up-to-the-minute crop and field conditions, varieties, and current market prices. We update the message as often as necessary (especially in rainy or overcast weather) in order to help you make the best arrangements for your picking trip. Picking areas are easy to find and clearly marked. Our Pick-Your-Own staff members are very knowledgeable about the fruits you’ll be picking and containers for picking and recipe sheets are available at every Pick-Your-Own station.

Championship Golf 

Our Junior Golf School teaches children as young as five, the basic skills they will need in a fun, friendly enviroment. They will learn under the guidance of our professional instructors, led by Marissa Kulig and Jon Wilson.

Our Junior Coaching is a developmental program designed to teach children as young as 3 the game of golf. As your child’s skills improve, they will ascend to new ranks until they are ready to play at the collegiate or professional level.

Our PGA Junior League is a way for kids to compete at the game of golf. Similar to Little League, your youngster’s team will compete against children from other area golf courses. In it’s first season last year, the Lyman Orchards’ All Star team won the Connecticut State Championship.

With courses designed by legendary Hall of Fame architect Robert Trent Jones and Hall of Fame golfer Gary Player, Lyman Orchards’ championship golf courses are both ranked among the best in the Northeast. The Golf Center and Apple Nine course opened in 2012 and are already recognized among the country’s top facilities where you can learn or improve your game.
