Children's Adventure Center

Our History

The Children’s Adventure Center was established in Newtown in 1969 by a group of concerned community leaders, as a non-profit organization, to provide early childhood education for local families. The Center is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors elected annually. NAEYC Accreditation CAC is accredited by THE NATIONAL ASSOCIATION FOR THE EDUCATION FOR YOUNG CHILDREN – a national organization whose goal is to raise the quality of Pre-school Education through a stringent accreditation process.

Our Philosophy

Our goal is to provide the highest quality educational experience for every child in a warm atmosphere where all children are challenged to excel and their achievements are celebrated. Children at CAC are individually guided in their learning experiences and their acquisition of skills is based on a child’s individual development, style of learning and previous experience.
